Children

About half of the congregation at Bobbin Head Anglican Church are children and teenagers! Our children join us for the first part of the Sunday service. Then, while the adults remain in church, the children join in a variety of children's programmes. Because it's essential to meet the needs of children in ways which are appropriate to their age and development, we have 5 streams of children's and young peoples' ministry at BHAC.

Creche: For babies to three-year-olds.

Preschool: For 4 to 5 year-olds

Kindy-Year 2:  For children in Kindergarten through to Year 2

Oasis: For those in school years 3 to 5.

Years 6-8: For young people in school years 6 to 8.

Child Protection

Bobbin Head Anglican Church takes child protection seriously. All parents and volunteers who have any contact with, and ministry to, children are screened and trained to the highest standards.

In accordance with the policy and guidelines adopted by the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney, every adult who is involved in ministry to children must:

(i) Have signed a Prohibited Employment Declaration (which declares that the person is NOT a prohibited person as defined in the Child Protection (Prohibited Employment) Act 1998 or the Child Protection (Offenders Registration) Act 2000; and

(ii) Have satisfactorily completed the training module "Protecting Children and Youth (Safe Ministry Part 2)" which is a component of the Basic Accreditation Certificate and the Youth Ministry Certificate Level One, a course by the Anglican Youthworks Training Division.
